Sartori Releases Limited Edition Peppermint BellaVitano in Support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Sartori Cheese will be releasing their Limited Edition Peppermint BellaVitano cheese for the month of October in support of breast cancer awareness month.  The artisan cheese producer will donate a portion of all Peppermint BellaVitano proceeds to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc.®  To date, Sartori had donated over $20,000 to the foundation.

 

“Peppermint BellaVitano is a fun, intriguing one-of-a-kind cheese.  The pink rind is created by hand rubbing crushed peppermint candy onto our aged BellaVitano cheese wheels.  The sweet, minty note from the peppermint surprisingly compliments the rich, fruitiness flavor of the cheese,” stated Sartori Master Cheesemaker, Mike Matucheski. 

 

Since 2012, Sartori has partnered with the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc., an organization dedicated to aiding women by providing help and inspiring hope to those affected by breast cancer through early detection, education and support services.  “The National Breast Cancer Foundation is one of the most respected breast cancer charities in the world.  They realize that with rising costs in healthcare, many cannot afford a screening exam and so they offer to help by providing free mammograms.  It is wonderful to help an organization like this that goes the extra mile,” stated Sue Merckx, Sartori Marketing Director.

 

Sartori’s Limited Edition Peppermint BellaVitano cheese will be available for purchase at specialty retailers across the United States this October.
